My Story

This is Me

fighter. writer. survivor. always swinging back.

Hi, I'm Corenne, but you can call me Coco.
In the boxing ring, I go by Nesibindi — Xhosa for “having liver” or to be brave. That name isn't just for show — it's who I've had to be.

I’ve taken punches most people never see coming: a childhood that toughened me up too soon, a marriage that dragged on for too many rounds, and cancer — which I fought and beat into the ground (#FuckCancer).

People call me resilient. I call it stubborn survival with a side of sass. Truth is, I don’t always want to be strong. But since the bell keeps ringing, I’ve learned to lace up, fight back, and grow fiercer with every round.

My Mission is to

share my journey to help people reclaim their lives after cancer

Every Round is a chance to rise

what you'll find here

My cancer journey — and how I'm still winning the fight.

My boxing story — because in the ring I've found both healing and fire.

If there's one thing I want you to know about me, it's this:
Life will land its hardest punches, but I'll always get back up.
And I hope my story helps you do the same.
